Blog #1,000

1,000. That is a heck of a number. It is also the number of this post. Starting with post 1 in 2005, we’ve now reached post number 1,000. I’m blown away that this bit of “therapy” I started years ago is still plugging along weekly. “Therapy,” I called it since I missed my broadcasting days and needed an additional outlet to vent as I had a monthly article in one of the trades, but this allowed me to be more active. That turned out to eventually be weekly posts.

The Musings of a Fenestration Industry Worker and New Mother: An Update

“Well, I slept in a crib last night,” I responded to the inquiry of how everyone was doing at the start of our meeting. My husband and I have never done the co-sleeping thing with our baby, but there are times when I am just too tired to rock my daughter in the nursery chair, and instead opt to crawl my way over the railing into her crib for a nighttime cuddle session.

Triple Threat Pod

The latest From the Fabricator podcast is out and it’s a super-sized edition with three amazing guests covering a wide range of topics once again. I kick it off with Syndi Sim of q-Railing and of course the energy is there and flowing, but also lots of perspective plays and insights that I found very refreshing and helpful. Then I connect with Jenni Chase of the National Glass Association and her role within the Workforce Development realm is massive and crucial and it was good to hear about all of the work happening there and resources both in play now and forthcoming.
