WIC Week 2025 Celebrates and Promotes the Role of Women in the Construction Industry

Women in Construction Week March 2-8, 2025

March is Women's History Month, and March 2-8 is Women in Construction Week, or WIC Week. Help us spotlight the vital role women play in building the future of the glass industry.

How We Move Forward

1. NGA is committed to helping the industry build its workforce now and into the future. Part of that effort is raising awareness of the trades among young people. We've developed the Guide to Recruiting at High School Career Fairs, plus fun stickers and postcard giveaways. Check them out, and join us in the effort.

2. Check out the latest Window Cast podcast with Deb Callahan of NFRC, discussing how workplaces can better recruit and retain women workers, and how women can better advocate for themselves and others.

3. Read WIC Week articles from Glass Magazine and Window + Door

“The industry needs you. Improvement and progress are only possible when diverse voices and backgrounds are present. Echo chambers do not produce the best results. There is so much opportunity in this industry to learn and grow and be impactful in ways you might not have considered or knew were possible." Sara Barchak, marketing manager, Apogee Enterprises

An initiative of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), the focus of Women in Construction Week celebrates and promotes the role of women in the construction industry. This year's theme, 'Together We Rise', celebrates the strength and knowledge of women and the vital role they play in shaping the future of the construction industry. Follow WIC Week coverage from NAWIC. Or follow #WICWeek25 on LinkedIn.
