The skilled labor shortage continues to challenge the glass and glazing industry, with experienced workers retiring faster than we can replace them. In 2019, the last of the Baby Boomers turned 55, and by 2024, the tail end of this generation will begin retiring. According to the National Construction Center for Education and Research (NCCER), 41 percent of the current construction workforce will retire in 2031. Without a veteran glazier pool to choose from, contract glaziers need to look to the younger generation. Learn about the recruiting resources available through the NCCER Build Your Future program in a new webinar presented by the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) and now available on GlassBuild Connect.
