Conference to shift to one-day gathering on February 9, 2021
NGA announced it will modify its NGA Glass Conference: Clearwater Beach event to take place online on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. This shift is due to the continued precautions surrounding travel and group gatherings due to the pandemic.
“Protecting the industry is an ever-expanding realm of activity that now includes keeping our members, volunteers and staff safe,” says Nicole Harris, NGA president & CEO. “We will host the NGA Glass Conference online rather than gathering in person in Florida as planned because, regardless of where and how we come together, the technical and advocacy work must and will be done.”
The NGA Glass Conference will include committee activities and continue to offer education of immediate relevance to the industry. With respect to the time people are spending in online meetings, NGA has opted to host a one-day event.
Networking is a key component of this conference when typically held in person. The 6th annual Fun Run will be hosted virtually, and volunteer leaders will be recognized during an online happy hour at the conclusion of the day.
Registration opens in November. Members and non-members are welcome and encouraged to attend. As it becomes available, stay tuned for more information.
