The 2011 GMI Class kicks off in January 2011. Check back for specific dates and times. Students who register for the 2011 GMI will be able to attend the fall webinar series for free.
GMI Students
Ideal GMI candidates have at least one year’s experience in the glazing industry or related field. They should also have experience in a supervisory or project management role and aspire to a career on the professional side of the industry. In addition, students should have experience handling or be familiar with or basic storefront framing components, glass & glazing, and other materials.
Instructors
GMI has been designed to specifically focus on contract glazing and all material is selected and provided by industry experts. Certain courses, such as bidding and estimating and project management, are taught by experts from companies like Bacon and Van Buskirk and Trainor Glass. Other courses, including finance, are taught be experienced professionals.
Format
GMI is conducted via one-hour weekly webinars (Tuesdays at 7 p.m. ET). Sessions will be recorded and available for students to review.
Students should plan for one hour of class time per week and two hours of homework, reading, and follow-up. There are also 2 self-paced modules.

For NGA members, the cost per student is $1,195. For non-members, the cost is $1,795. Students may take any individual module for $395. Register for GMI.
